Join the club at FDL!

Reading is usually better when you can talk about the book with others who’ve read it, right? Book clubs are a great way to meet other bibliophiles, discover new authors, and take a deep dive into the reading experience. Fondulac District Library currently offers an Adult Book Club and a new YA Book Club, and new members are always welcome!

FDL’s Adult Book Club meets at 1:30 p.m. on the third Monday of each month in the library’s conference room. The club is open to all area adults who are interested in reading fiction and non-fiction of all types. Club members work together in selecting titles for the group and in leading discussion, and copies of the club’s current selection are available at the library’s circulation desk for check out. Upcoming selections include:

February 25 – Isaac’s Storm by Erik Larson
March 18 – Prairie Fires by Caroline Fraser
April 15 – Betty Ford  by Lisa McCubbin
May 20 – A Gentleman in Moscow by Amor Towles

The YA Book Club will meet on the third Wednesday of each month at 6 p.m. in the library’s conference room. This club will read young adult selections and is open to anyone ages 14-19. Upcoming titles include:

April 17 – Truly Devious by Maureen Johnson
May 15 – The Sun is Also a Star by Nicola Yoon
June 19 – Steelheart by Brandon Sanderson
