Happy National Pet Day!

Do you have pets who you absolutely adore? As if you don’t celebrate them enough, today is the day for official celebration of all of our furred and feathered and scaled friends. Finding out more about the pets you have or learning about new ones you want to adopt can be super easy if you know where to look in the library.

Are you a dog person, whose four legged friend is your bestie? You can learn more about them by searching in Dewey Decimal number 636.7.

Are you a crazy cat lady or man? It’s okay – a lot of us at FDL are. Learn how to care for that kitten with whom you are smitten over in Dewey number 636.8.

We can’t forget our avian friends. Does Polly actually want a cracker or is she just messing with you? Find out in 636.6.

Finally, a shout out to those who who love their fish, snakes, and four legged reptiles. Cold blooded pets deserve love too and you can find out all about them starting in 639.3.
