Fondulac District Library will host a candidate forum Wednesday, March 13, 2019, at 6 p.m. to encourage informed voting and civic participation. The forum will be hosted by the library at the East Peoria Civic Complex meeting rooms (adjacent to the library), moderated by the League of Women Voters, and broadcast by East Side Community Media. All candidates for the publicly-elected City of East Peoria offices of Mayor and Commissioner have been invited to engage in a moderated discussion in preparation for the upcoming election on April 2, 2019.
This event is free and open to the public, and all East Peoria residents are invited to attend. Roberta Parks of the League of Women Voters will moderate the forum. Audience members will have the opportunity at the forum to submit questions in writing for consideration to be addressed by the candidates.
East Side Community Media plans to live stream the forum on Facebook and to air it live on Comcast Channel 22 and I3 Broadband Channel 12. It also will post the recorded forum to esctv.org and re-broadcast it on channels 22 and 12 before the election. Visit fondulaclibrary.org or call 699-3917 for more information.
