Friends Host Drawings, Bake Sale

Holiday Prize Basket Drawings

To welcome the holiday season, the Friends of the Library will be sponsoring holiday prize basket drawings from December 1 to December 21. Each week, a lucky winner will be drawn. People may enter each free weekly drawing at the Fondulac District Library at 140 East Washington Street in East Peoria. The baskets include prizes such as gift certificates from area businesses, a voucher for the Winter Wonderland light display, and a reservation for the library’s popular Gingerbread House Construction event.

Bake Sale

The Friends also will host a bake sale featuring homemade treats from 10 am to 4 pm on Friday, December 7, in the library’s foyer. The public is invited to purchase and enjoy homemade holiday goodies and support the Friends group and the library.

The Friends of the Fondulac District Library support the mission of the Fondulac District Library through advocacy, financial support, and volunteerism. Senior Driver Safety Course

Why should you take a driver safety course? Cars have changed. So have traffic rules, driving conditions, and the roads you travel every day. Additionally, people 50 years and older can reduce insurance premiums and become safer drivers. Join us in December 4 and 5 for the Senior Driver Safety Program, sponsored by AARP, RSVP, and Fondulac District Library. The fee is $12 for AARP members or $14 for non-members for the eight hours of instruction. Registration is required.To register, call 682-8521.
