Library Study and Meeting Rooms
The library provides four study rooms as quiet and collaborative spaces for individuals and small groups to utilize. Two adjoining rooms seat up to 6 people each (and can be combined), and two individual rooms seat 2 each comfortably (but can accommodate up to 3 people).
The study rooms are intended to be used for quiet study, work, tutoring, and collaboration without disruption to other library users. Each room is equipped with a white board for use with library-provided dry-erase markers. Please note that the rooms are not sound-proof, and it is recommended that groups using projected voices/volume or audio equipment reserve a Civic Complex meeting room (see below). Use of these rooms should be consistent with the objective of the library, which is to provide a suitable environment for research, study, reading, learning, and collaborating.
Individuals or group representatives must check in and out at the second floor Information Desk and provide identification and contact information (i.e. valid driver’s license, current library card, student ID) at the desk.
Please call the library at (309) 699-3917 or see staff at the second floor Information Desk to reserve a study room. Rooms also are available on a walk-in basis when not reserved.
Use of the library’s meeting room spaces, including but not limited to the Kolb Memorial Conference Room and the Story/Craft room, is limited to library-sponsored programs, events, and services, excepting only some intergovernmental uses.
Civic Complex Meeting Rooms
Fondulac District Library and the City of East Peoria, as part of the Civic Complex, have an atrium facility with meeting rooms for their common use. As a part of their public purpose, the City and Library do provide a means by which the atrium and Civic Complex meeting rooms may be provided for use by the public. Please see the East Peoria Civic Complex Meeting Room Policy for more information.
