What is a Friends group?
A Friends of the Library group is an organization of people who voluntarily associate with a library and help with its work. A Friends Group helps a library primarily by encouraging communication between the library and the community, by promoting use of the library to all groups of people in the community, by helping to enhance programs and services, and by protecting and encouraging sources of library funding.
