Unless otherwise posted, regular meetings of the Fondulac District Library Board of Trusteers are held on the last Monday of the month at 6:00 p.m. No meeting is held in December. Public participation times may vary, but generally are immediately after roll call. Please call (309) 699-3917 for more information.
All open session Board meetings are held in the library’s Kolb Memorial Conference Room unless otherwise noted on the agenda.
East Side Community Television (Channel 22) records and broadcasts most regularly scheduled monthly Board meetings. Recordings of Fondulac District Library Board meetings are available online.
The Board reserves the right to make changes to the schedule or call special meetings in accordance with the Illinois Open Meetings Act.

Governance and Election Information
Fondulac District Library is governed by a 7-member Board of Trustees. Board members serve six-year terms and are elected in consolidated elections to be held on the first Tuesday in April of odd-numbered years, except as provided in Section 2A-1.1a of the Election Code ((10 ILCS 5/).
2025 Election
Three six-year Fondulac Public Library District Board of Trustee seats are up for election in the April 1, 2025, consolidated election. These terms begin May 2025 and serve through May 2031.
Petition packets, including instructions, will be available for pickup at the library Business Office starting August 20, 2024, and can be filed between November 12 and 18, 2024. Candidates filing at the library in the evening, on the weekend, or when the Business Office is closed should see staff at the Checkout Desk for assistance.
Petitions will be required to have 33 signatures of qualified voters residing in the district. More information regarding the election can be found in the State of Illinois Candidate’s Guide.
