Friends of FDL

What is a Friends Group?

A Friends of the Library group is a volunteer organization that associates with a library and helps with its work. A Friends group encourages communication between the library and the community, promotes the use of the library to all groups of people in the community, helps to enhance programs and services, and protects and encourages sources of library funding.

What We Do

  • Promote the library to the community
  • Maintain the ongoing book sale
  • Support the library’s collection and facilities
  • Sponsor and assist library programs for all ages
  • Hold quarterly meetings at the library
