Books Unbanned Storytime

It's Banned Books Week - time to celebrate your right to read whatever books you want! Censorship can keep us from reading some amazing and fun books. Join in to read some of Miss Alice's favorites! No storytime is complete without songs and a craft too! This program is designed for kids 2-6 and their families.

The number of books being banned and challenged has risen dramatically in the past few years. 2023 saw the largest increase in book challenges in the history of tracking them, with 4,240 unique titles being targeted for removal from public and school libraries.
