The library provides four study rooms as quiet and collaborative spaces for individuals and small groups to utilize. Two adjoining rooms seat up to 6 people each (and can be combined), and two individual rooms seat 2 each comfortably (but can accommodate up to 3 people).
The study rooms are intended to be used for quiet study, work, tutoring, and collaboration without disruption to other library users. Each room is equipped with a white board for use with library-provided dry-erase markers. Please note that the rooms are not sound-proof, and it is recommended that groups using projected voices/volume or audio equipment reserve a Civic Complex meeting room. Use of these rooms should be consistent with the objective of the library, which is to provide a suitable environment for research, study, reading, learning, and collaborating.
Individuals or group representatives must check in and out at the second floor Information Desk and provide identification and contact information (i.e. valid driver’s license, current library card, student ID) at the desk.
Please call the library at (309) 699-3917 or see staff at the second floor Information Desk to reserve a study room. Rooms also are available on a walk-in basis when not reserved.
