What is This Book About? Blade Runner Aahna "Ash" Ashina has a major problem. She needs cash for her cybernetic back and she’s too good at her job. So good, that she’s cleared the market of skinjobs (androids) to hunt down. But her boss has a new job for her. A missing person’s case. When the wife and daughter of a business tycoon goes missing, Ash will scour the city for the disenfranchised family. Things get weird, however, the closer she gets to finding them. Things get even weirder when she discovers why they went missing.
My Review: This is a great expansion to the Blade Runner universe. We get to see some new tech as well as the old and familiar environments depicted in Blade Runner the movie. The story-telling is brilliantly tech-noir, perfect for fans of that old ‘80s sci-fi vibe. It was also interesting to see areas outside of Los Angeles proper, though most of the graphic novel does take place in LA. The characters are unique, the setting is familiar, and the story and art is breathtaking. Any fan of cyberpunk stories should give this a try.
